Andora Systems is committed to the safety of their employees and their work environment. Recently, Andora’s technicians attended a 10-hour safety training course to receive OSHA certification. The course was for geared toward safety in the construction industry, and covered OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures. Topics included scope and application of OSHA construction standards, construction safety and health principles, and special emphasis on those areas in construction which are most hazardous.
Upon course completion, Andora’s technicians now possess the ability to define construction terms found in the OSHA construction standards, identify hazards which occur in the construction industry, locate and determine appropriate OSHA construction standards, policies, and procedures, and describe the use of the standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program.

OSHA is the Occupational Safety and Helath Administration which is part of the United States Department of Labor. OSHA’s mission is to assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance. OSHA’s administrator answers to the Secretary of Labor, who is a member of the cabinet of the President of the United States.
