Network Video Recorders
An NVR (Network Video Recorder) is an image capture device that allows for simultaneous recording, playback of recorded images, and remote access to live views. NVRs are generally used with IP cameras to create a sophisticated CCTV surveillance system.
The number of cameras that can be networked with the NVR are unlimited — the only limitation is the processing power of the server.
Hybrid NVRs can support IP and analog cameras so that both older and newer equipment can be utilized within one system. A hybrid NVR is also a useful tool for a gradual migration to an IP system.
